House & Garden Loses its Home

House & Garden has been shuttered for the second time in its 106-year history, after reportedly losing close to $100 million over the last decade. It's highly unlikely that it will be renovated for a third run, not with Architectural Digest, Domino, and now Vogue Living making homes in the shelter niche at Condé Nast alone. Rumors about the magazine's demise have swirled for years, and editor-in-chief Dominique Browning has been considered embattled practically since the day she started. More than 90 staffers will lose their jobs, with Condé making the usual desultory effort to find them new ones ...
