Professional Experience
I’ve been a technology reporter since 1996 and financial reporter since 2000.
I worked for 10 years at Mergermarket, a division of the Financial Times Group. Mergermarket is a news and information service for deal-makers involved in mergers and acquisitions. Its audience receives early notification of auction-related news. Bankers hear about deals before they transact, allowing them time to become part of the process. To gain this information, I developed close relationships with executives and advisors at investment banks and law firms.
I wrote blogs for Forbes.com, among the best read on Mergermarket’s Forbes site, and my work has appeared in The New York Times DealBook and FT.com. I consistently reported for Mergermarket’s sister publication, dealReporter, which has an audience of hedge fund investors. I was honored by AlwaysOn as a 2013 Power Player in Technology Business Media.
