Professional Experience
During my successful freelance career, I've written about everything from sales tax on bagels (yes, we're looking at you, NYC) to the most walkable neighborhoods in Oakland to the fight to raise the minimum wage. As a reporter for Oakland Local, my widely-shared reporting covered neighborhood development, real estate, business, city planning, and politics. While reporting for Oakland Local, I received a fellowship for a highly-praised series on seniors and gentrification in Oakland. I've interviewed everyone from elected officials to the homeless.
I've also reported for Momentum, a national bicycle lifestyle magazine. Bicycles are one of my passions.
As a contributor to the Quick Books Small Business blog, I interviewed entrepreneurs, financial advisors, and business experts to create actionable content for small business owners.
