Other Work History

I have extensive full-time newspaper and freelance experience. I was previously South African correspondent of The Chronicle of Higher Education and contributing editor to The Cape Argus, a metropolitan daily in Cape Town. Among my previous roles was head of communications for a major non-profit agency, the Independent Development Trust which spent over R1 billion funding health, education and infrastructure projects aimed at improving the lives of the poorest people in South Africa.
