I'm an experienced freelance writer and editor, specializing in arts and lifestyle features, travel pieces, political coverage, and corporate communications. I've contributed to major newspapers (LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Austin American-Statesman), national magazines (Spin, Air & Space, Historic Traveler), and top travel websites like Fodors.com. Profiles and interviews of notable folk are a specialty (I've spoken with many household-name-level celebrities; some of these pieces are among my work samples). I'm also an experienced researcher, copy editor, and proofreader. My current home in Austin follows previous lives in New York, Boston, and Ljubljana, Slovenia. While in Ljubljana, I originated the first blog, to my knowledge, created in Slovenia by a non-native of that country. I've been actively blogging ever since.
