Jump Start stores is hiring a seasonal graphic designer!

Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing department. This role involves working 20-25 in-office hours per week, focusing on campaign design as well as developing systems and structures to support the overall creation of the in-house art department. Responsible for designing campaigns that translate into print and digital channels. Coordination of preproduction print work and kitting oversight for retail outlets. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between our ad agency, freelance team members, print houses, and internal team. The graphic designer will assist to coordinate project management efforts and lead the charge on fresh to market ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Campaign Design & Creative Projects:
  • Graphic design and campaign development for both retail sales floor and internal communication projects.
  • Develop systems and structures for asset libraries and comms calendars that aid seamless transitions.
  • Contribute creative ideas that align with the company’s vision and brand identity.
  • Create and implement efficient processes to build the team’s art department.
• Liaison & Coordination:
  • Ability to write creative briefs and coordinate workflow across multiple departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between agency talent and internal teams.
  • Coordinate project management efforts, ensuring clear communication and timely project completion.
• Collaborative Teamwork & Independent Work:
  • Work independently while contributing as an active team member.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide creative input.
• Video Design & Animation (Preferred):
  • Collaborate on video design and animation projects when required with the production team.
  • Bring creative vision and imagination to multimedia initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design required (Or presently a Senior in a BA program are eligible for internship status or work study).
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong command of Adobe InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Retail design experience preferred. Pre-production work a plus.

• Additional Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Flexible availability during business hours with a standard in-office schedule (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
