Summary:
The successful candidate will design and estimate new construction and estimate repairs for existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:Perform fire alarm system engineering design and produce engineering shop drawingsProvide technical support to project manager, field technicians and CAD operators by analyzing customer's needs, engineer's specifications and floor planDevelop solutions to new or existing system applicationsReview job construction plans, specifications, survey information, sales sketches, estimates, take off sheets and ensure design work is under budgetReview submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain hardware submittal approvalProvide technical assistance to the sales team in the analysis and interpretation of job documents and code requirements during the bidding and estimating phaseSkills and Qualifications:
2 years of experience with fire alarm installation and new construction and retrofits of multifamily and/or all types of commercial projects.2 years of experience with fire alarm design using AutoCADExperience with a variety of system types and manufacturersAbility to read and interpret architectural, electrical and mechanical drawingsProficiency in MS OfficeFASA / BASA License, Nicet I / II or accumulated experienceElectrical background with strong knowledge of industry codes (NFPA, FFPC & NEC)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent planning and organization skillsMust have valid driver's license and pass background check and drug testWhat Mircom Offers:
