General Information
Identifies, analyzes and documents requirements for network transport technologies and services. Researches, creates, deploys and documents network designs. Performs network maintenance and restoration. Provides cost estimates for both labor and non-labor budget planning. Coordinates high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects.
Required skills/qualifications:
Three years' experience with Cisco networking equipment Knowledge of network communication concepts, principles and architectures, associated with network planning, design, integration and maintenance. End-to-end knowledge of network transport technologies, systems, environments, services, protocols, performance monitoring and diagnostic analysis. Knowledge of and the ability to utilize communications and network tests (e.g. sub-system, system, installation, performance, operational, built-in test, qualification, acceptance). Knowledge of test methodologies for voice and data networks and communications equipment.
