Qualifications:• Mid-level experience as an HP-UX Systems Administrator, with a deep understanding of HP-UX operating systems.• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and system management tasks.• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) is a plus.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HP-UX System Administration: Utilize your expertise in HP-UX to install, configure, and maintain HP-UX servers and associated hardware and software components.Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to optimize HP-UX systems for peak efficiency and reliability.Security Management: Implement and maintain security policies and measures to protect HP-UX systems from vulnerabilities and threats.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for HP-UX systems to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.Patch Management: Stay up-to-date with HP-UX patches and updates, applying them as necessary to maintain system integrity and security.Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, database administrators, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration of HP-UX systems with other infrastructure components.
