We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Piping Designer to develop plant layouts as well as design and maintain process pressure piping systems. The Senior Piping Designer will produce optimum plant designs and develop area layouts and piping designs from conceptual studies through to issuing of isometrics and drawings.

Responsibilities:

Utilize CAD, including 3D scans to prepare layout and design drawings using practical design knowledge.

Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.

Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.

Meet layout requirements and develop alternate design layouts of systems as required.

Review and comment on supplier data as required.

Perform checking of all piping deliverables as appropriate to the discipline to ensure they clearly depict the design.

Review constructability, operability and safety in design.

Check compliance with piping design guides, standards, specifications and procedures.

Assist in training junior-level Designers in various procedures.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Field walk down and investigation.

Material handling design experience would be a bonus.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years experience in piping design with design experience in refining, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries

Bachelors Degree and Higher Education preferred

Proficient in CADWorx (minimum of equipment, piping, isometric manager and drawing manager)

Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD and/or BricsCAD

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to learn new software
