Our properties are located across the country and fly flags from Hilton, IHG, Choice, and Marriott.Job SummaryThe Director of Sales & Marketing oversees all sales & marketing operations and team members for the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Duncanville, Texas which includes the banquet/catering sales team. The Director of Sales & Marketing reports directly to the OCI Coporate Sales Team and is responsible for ensuring labor and quality standards are upheld and assists with establishing a positive work environment, developing strong relationships and networks and administering policies and procedures established by the company and the hotel brands.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreates and maintains positive and professional staff and client relationshipsMotivates and encourages sales/catering team to ensure goals are metReviews and analyzes sales/catering and operational records and reports and uses the data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new marketsIdentifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales effortsMaintains current knowledge related to competition and market conditions and effectively applies strategies to increase businessResolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales/catering operationsPerforms additional responsibilities as assigned by leadershipQualificationsCollege degree or the equivalent in related work experiencePrevious experience with outside/catering salesExcellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationshipsAbility to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalismConduct work-related functions in a professional manner#J-18808-Ljbffr
