Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the Bank's Marketing team at our corporate office in Novato.The Marketing Manager manages the Bank’s marketing function, including advertising, community relations, corporate events, website management, brand awareness, social media and communications activities. The Marketing Manager executes the bank’s strategic marketing and communications priorities under direction of the Head of Growth & Strategy and manages members of the marketing team.Essential Job Functions:Plans, manages, and oversees the marketing function to support the Bank’s revenue objectives; directs and facilitates development of marketing efforts and analyzes the impact thereofManages daily operational activities and administration of the department, including: leading the overall effectiveness of marketing efforts; ongoing analysis of qualitative and quantitative research; preparing analytical reports and making recommendations.Provides leadership to the marketing team to ensure a competent, motivated staff through hiring, training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing performance of employees.Develops and maintains relationships, budgets, and contracts with ad, communication, and marketing agency partners.Develops, directs, and implements the overall marketing communication efforts company-wide. Develops, creates, and executes marketing programs and campaigns to support bank objectives.Supports cross-functional (e.g., retail, commercial, wealth) marketing efforts and engages directly with executive and divisional leaders.Maintains brand alignment across the bank’s network.Develops effective relationships and partnerships with other teams (Product, Sales Management, Compliance) and other key influencers and ensures communication, collaboration, and gaining the necessary approvals to deliver marketing programs that support goals.Develops and implements an annual, strategic special events calendar. Ensures all events are planned and managed in a creative, timely, and cost-efficient manner to provide value added services to our clients, while maximizing ROI to the Bank.Plans and oversees advertising and brand activities including print, online, electronic media, and social media. Establishes, develops, and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all products and services, collateral and promotional materials and events.Directs and/or oversees the coordination of community events and company participation.Plans, directs, and executes the marketing of new and existing products and services.Supports Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) through business development efforts. Actively participates in community organizations.Maintains a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.Other duties may be assignedJob Skill Level / Additional Requirements:Strong negotiation skills, ability to find the win-win solution for everyone involved, and graciously negotiates a positive outcome while having to decline a request.Strong leadership and supervisorial skills with ability to recognize and develop skills in others.Advanced professional image, with ability to represent Bank of Marin in a positive way.Basic knowledge of Bank of Marin personal and business products and services, and current knowledge of our competitive advantage in the banking environment as well as changes in the business environment.Ability to regularly work flexible hours is a requirement (early mornings, late evenings, and weekends) .Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.Experience in graphic design a plus.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate with individuals of varying levels of seniority and diverse backgrounds.Excellent writing skills including copy writing, business writing, editing and proof reading.Experience in working with advertisers and marketing agencies.Some experience with event planning and coordination, including but not limited to: program development, managing communication, invitation lists, and RSVPs, and managing coordination at the event.Strong organizational skills with the ability to time manage a multitude of priorities, requests, and relationships in a positive manner; has ability to work independently with limited or no supervision.Ability to demonstrate a high level of strategic thinking, with the ability to manage the execution of key initiatives.Strong marketing program development, copy writing, communication and analytical skills.Subject-matter-expert knowledge of marketing industry and practices.Demonstrated leadership in influencing business decisions.Demonstrated experience facilitating cross-functional teams.Demonstrated success in leading, influencing, motivating and collaborating with key stakeholders.Subject-matter-expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Professional & Educational Experience:7 – 10 years related experience and/or training.Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.The hiring pay range for this position is $115,493 to $170,197. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.The Bank of Marin is a growing public company with career advancement opportunities.
