The Senior UX Designer is responsible for architecting a phenomenal user experience, in close working relationships with product management, technology, and clinical teams, while delivering product features to meet market needs for clinical surveillance software solutions. This role will create solution designs and write user stories for agile development teams to bring those designs to fruition. The Senior UX designer will conduct user research, create product designs, define detailed product requirements, and collaborate with product development to deliver product enhancements in an agile development methodology.

This role will be focused on the Sepsis Monitor product that will be FDA regulated as Software as a Medical Device. Experience working on FDA regulated products is preferred, but not necessary.

Duties And Responsibilities

Employ user centered design practices, including contextual inquiry, interviewing, concept testing, and other principles to support market-leading products that meet customer and WK business objectives.Plan, organize, and conduct user research and user validation studies. Present results of research to project teams and management with findings and recommendations.Collaborate with product management to understand business needs and goals, and design product functionality that meets roadmap goals.Create high-quality user-friendly designs that emphasize translating user processes into straightforward user interfaces and navigation flows.Create mockups and flow diagrams to effectively communicate design and feature ideas.Collaborate closely with product development to break designs and features into epic and story-level approaches.Create detailed requirements documentation, including design mockups and user stories, to enable product development to correctly execute product designs.Work with scrum master to maintain iterations for agile development team.Conduct data and technical analysis as needed to inform feature stories and requirements.Conduct customer beta testing of new features.CSC markets products that are regulated by the FDA, and all positions within CSC are responsible for compliance with role-specific policies and procedures relating to regulated medical devices.Maintain awareness of and comply with all required policy and procedure for managing FDA regulated devices, and complete training in a timely manner upon any updates.Job Qualifications

Education

A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) or equivalent is desired.Experience

5+ years of software product design experience.A strong portfolio demonstrating user experience activities such as processes, approaches, and deliverables, as well as experience tackling complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.Experience developing products in an agile methodology.Experience with decomposing projects into stages that can be executed to deliver interim customer value.Experience writing user stories with acceptance criteria.Advanced skill with design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe CS, etc.Experience in healthcare industry not required, but preferred.Experience in enterprise software design not required, but preferred.Experience working on FDA regulated software is not required, but preferred.Other Skills & Attributes
