US Trades & Talent is searching for a BIM Operator for the Mechanical and Electrical Division of a large commercial contractor, located in Jackson Mississippi. This postion will report to multiple project managers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM Operator to join our team. As a BIM Operator, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing building information models (BIMs) for construction projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate and efficient BIM modeling.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BIM software, construction processes, and building systems. You will be responsible for creating 3D models, producing drawings and documentation, and collaborating with project teams to ensure BIM models are accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities:
Create, modify, and manage BIM models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
Assist with the creation and development of of 3D models of mechanical systems with an emphasis on plumbing and piping system to support construction projects while working closely with Engineers, BIM Specialist, Project Managers, and Field Managment.
Develop clash detection reports and coordinate with project teams to resolve issues
Produce drawings and documentation from BIM models, including construction documents, shop drawings, and as-built drawings such as 2D shop drawings.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM models are accurate and up to date
Coordinate BIM modeling efforts with subcontractors and design teams
Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards and processes
Train and mentor junior BIM staff
Participate in project meetings and provide BIM-related expertise and support
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in BIM modeling for construction projects
Strong understanding of BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
Knowledge of construction processes and building systems
Experience with clash detection and resolution
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in MS Office and BIM-related software
Working Conditions:
The BIM Operator will work primarily in an office environment, with occasional visits to construction sites. The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
The BIM Operator must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer for extended periods. The role may require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
