Provides art therapy treatment services to identified patients within the Bridgeport Hospital and/or Ahlbin Centers system. Conducts assessments and implements treatment interventions for the purpose of reducing symptoms, maintaining level of functioning and/or enhancing wellness.

Clinical Documentation2.1 Completes documentation in accordance with established unit policies and procedures.3. Responsibility4.1 Completes Art Therapy functions as assigned by the supervisor of Recreational Therapy.5. Performance5.1 Demonstrates Accountability and Responsibility in daily performance role.

Qualifications:EDUCATIONMasters Degree in art therapy.EXPERIENCEMinimum of 1 year experience in healthcare setting.LICENSUREAll newly hired therapists must have current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.SPECIAL SKILLSThe worker must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and perform repetitive motions, of the wrist, fingers or hands., The worker is subject to inside environmental/atmospheric conditions such as poor ventilation and is also subject to hazards, such as exposure to chemicals., The worker must be able to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and /or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to, 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects or the human body., Functions with or without the assistance of reasonable accommodation as determined on a case by case basis.Additional Information:HOURS: Part time; DaysExperience within Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric Settings preferred.
