About The Role:
As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for providing technical and hands-on support in creating civil/structural design deliverables.
What You Will Be Doing:
Lead design projects for electrical substations and transmission line right-of-way projectsConduct transmission right-of-way access improvement design including culvert sizing, stormwater drainage analysis, stabilization specification, construction support, and inspectionDevelop and modify design criteria utilizing industry standards and client specificationsCoordinate design activities with other departments (Transmission, Distribution, Survey, etc.)Maintain a high level of quality and responsiveness in alignment with Pickett's standardsWhat You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology (preferred)Associate degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technology (required)Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on design experience (required)Technical expertise and working knowledge of design codes and software (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation and stormwater analysis programs) (required)Ability to collaborate with team members as well as peers in the electrical utility industryAbility to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulationsStrong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skillsEffective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) Able to communicate technical matters in an understandable and efficient manner
