Job Summary

Reporting to the President, EVP Consumer Services and partnering closely with Optimum’s Executive Leadership Team, this high visibility, key leadership role will be responsible for transforming Optimum’s Go-to-Market strategy, including acquisition, base, pricing, and market segmentation, across our national footprint to drive market share and EBITDA. This leader must leverage data, competitive and market intelligence to assemble business cases that drive results. In addition, the leader must work cross functionally to solicit buy-in and must be able to present and sell plans to the executive team. The leader will be responsible for market share, revenue and EBITDA growth for Consumer Services and will partner closely with our Area teams to execute our GTM strategies.

Responsibilities

  • An executive leader that can drive transformation internally and externally. This leader must be able to build a team that dynamically leverages talent across the organization to bring strategies to life. This is a high internally and externally visible position that can clearly articulate the Optimum Consumer strategy.
  • The leader must possess the critical leadership skills of cohesion, command of their business, mission over self, collaboration, communication, listening, caring and developing strategies and solving business challenges.
  • The leader must partner with our area teams to build compelling GTM business cases and strategies, based on local-level market conditions including competitive, economic and demographic considerations, that drive market share and financial growth.
  • Develop comprehensive pricing and offer strategies that maximize market share, retention and profitability.
  • Create compelling base strategies and customer life cycle journeys that drive loyalty and monetization
  • Able to leverage all areas of the Consumer organization to drive successful outcomes, Network Services, Care, Retention, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Government Affairs, IT.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams to bring integrated marketing and GTM plans to life
  • Establish quarterly GTM strategy sessions to drive alignment and communicate those strategies throughout the organization to drive maximum impact
  • Manage GTM operations to unsure campaigns are delivered accurately and on-time to deliver maximum impact.
  • An ambassador that supports our mission to make an impact on the communities we serve.
  • Partners closely with finance to develop monthly product-level forecasts to deliver budgeted results
  • Recruit, motivate, develop, and engage a talented team of leaders and technical SME’s that are dedicated to developing best in class segment GTM strategies
  • Partner across the Data and Analytics organization to leverage organizational scale and processes for data, analytics tools, and machine learning
  • Identify growth opportunities for the business via strategic planning, understanding of markets and execution, also thorough understanding of technologies in our footprint
  • Drive a transformation to bring together disparate teams and functions into a unified, aligned team with a one-team mindset by lead a multi-level team with a maniacal focus on culture, strategy, and execution.LP1

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree in relevant discipline is highly preferred.
  • 12+ years’ experience
  • Deep experience leveraging analytics to drive actionable insights and implementable strategies, proven track record of shaping business strategy with data and analytics. This will require a substantive understanding of the lifecycle of analytics across analysis, data science, and machine learning but not necessarily doing the analytics work personally.
  • Experience in telecommunications, media, and/or technology is required
  • Previous proven experience leading or working with a team of data engineers and data analysts, preferably as part of a successful transformation initiative. 
  • “Player-Coach” approach to coaching and developing a team—a leader who is not afraid to “get their hands dirty” and can convey strategy and drive tactics
  • Prior experience leading teams to understand market growth pockets and how to drive growth
  • Understanding of a cloud data environment with the ability to partner closely with an Enterprise IT organization
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to summarize analytic findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to collaborate closely with colleagues at all levels of an organization and a natural ability to build trust
  • Hands-on approach to learning the Altice USA business to quickly and thoughtfully augment the strategic value of a unified analytics function
  • Growth mindset and mentally primed to take on challenges and adopt effective problem-solving strategies; encourages team to embrace growth mindset

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $242,760.00 - $346,800.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
