The Opportunity :

We're seeking a Marketing Manager with strong leadership skills and experience crafting new marketing opportunities, amplifying brand visibility, and leading innovative initiatives for the company (Ember Valley).

You are a self-starter, organized, adaptable, and take the time to understand every aspect of our business. You embrace continuous customer engagement and opportunities to grow your accounts. As a team player, you build strong relationships with accounts to support the growth of the business. You have a passion for the cannabis industry and have a good understanding of all our products and offerings. You are proactive and excel at driving sales, enabling the business to achieve the next level of growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGThe Marketing Manager will research and identify industry trends, understand the demand for products and services to create market campaigns and strategies.Develop actionable, data-driven insights to inform product and marketing strategy.Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines in the cannabis industry to ensure compliance in marketing activities and sales.Work across several aspects of marketing - from branding and positioning to targeted outreach and strategy, go-to-market strategy, campaigns, advocacy, events, and communicationCollaborate with the sales team to support lead generation efforts and achieve revenue targetsPartner cross-functionally with marketing, operations and sales to create plans tied to revenue, including promotional strategies.Use, find and negotiate with new and existing vendors to improve our marketing strategy.Monitor and analyze competitor activities within the territory, delivering strategic insights to enhance our market position.Evaluate the success of field marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to refine and enhance future efforts.Oversee and manage the Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Field Marketing Designer, and Research and Development Information Manager. This includes coordinating timecards, approving time off, and all activities related to performance management.Branding and brand development

Partner with sales to develop wholesale strategies tied to revenue and brand amplificationThe Marketing Manager will be responsible for amplifying the brand story and positioning, and increase brand awareness.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels.Coordinate with the Field Marketing Manager for events.Create and execute innovative strategies and marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and product adoption.Digital and Print advertising

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in a leadership role within field marketing, preferably in the cannabis industryExceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.Deep understanding of the California cannabis market and industry regulations.Demonstrated ability to devise and execute innovative marketing strategies.Willingness to travel extensively within the California territory.Must be 21 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Employees whose job duties require them to drive their own vehicle for business purposes will be required to provide, prior to their first day of employment: (i) proof of a current valid driver's license; (ii) proof of current vehicle registration; and (iii) proof of insurability under the company's policy or current effective insurance coverage in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the company's needs. The company retains the right to transfer an employee to an alternative position, suspend, or terminate an employee whose license is suspended or revoked, or who fails to maintain personal automobile insurance coverage or who is uninsurable under the company's policy.

Please be advised that the company participates in a system that regularly checks state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) records of all employees who are required to drive as part of their job.

The company will reimburse employees who use their personal vehicles for business-related mileage at the current Internal Revenue Service reimbursement rate for any travel that exceeds the employee's usual commute to and from work.

Job requires the ability to pass a physical exam, drug test, and respiratory health test (required for respirator use).
