CAD Technician - Civil Design

Overview:

Snyder & Associates has an immediate opening in our Council Bluffs, IA office for a CAD Technician to work in the creation of detailed drawing and construction plan preparation in civil, transportation, municipal and utilities engineering projects.Responsibilities:This position will be involved on a daily basis with creating the detailed drawings and construction plans for civil engineering projects that include wind farms, roads, airports, site planning, municipal, underground utilities and stormwater drainage.Qualifications:Prior experience with civil engineering projects in transportation, utility and/or land development design is preferredPrior experience in the clean-up of topographic survey downloads a plus.Associate's Degree in CAD or Certificate in Drafting, or an acceptable level of CAD training with previous on-the-job experience.Knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak or AutoCAD strongly preferredExperience with ArcView a plusStrong analytical and problem solving skillsReliable worker with self-starter qualitiesAble to work in teams and as an individual contributorSolid communication skills, both written and verbalEOE/AA/E-Verify
