We seek a seasoned Manager Software Engineering - UI, with a strong front-end engineering background to build and lead a world-class team of front-end engineers working on cutting-edge user experiences. This role offers the opportunity to influence the direction of user experience of our cybersecurity products and significantly impact our global customer base.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of UI engineers responsible for the development and maintenance of reusable UI components in a design system using ReactJS.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, promoting best practices and ensuring code quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and software engineers, to define the vision and roadmap for the design system.
Architect and design scalable and efficient UI component frameworks and libraries, while also actively contributing to the coding and implementation process.
Collaborate closely with the UI/UX design team to ensure the design system meets the needs of the organization and aligns with industry best practices.
Implement and maintain a comprehensive documentation system for the design system, including usage guidelines and code examples.
Continuously improve and optimize the performance, accessibility, and usability of the design system's UI components.
Stay up-to-date with the latest ReactJS trends, libraries, and tools, and evaluate their potential impact on the design system.
Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate and leverage the design system in their projects.
Drive code reviews, provide feedback, and enforce coding standards to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebase.
Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues related to the design system's UI components.
Contribute to the overall engineering strategy and roadmap, advocating for the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.
Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to meet project goals.
Qualifications :
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a deep understanding of ReactJS and its ecosystem.
Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, preferably in the development of design systems or component libraries.
In-depth knowledge of UI/UX design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
Experience in performance optimization, code quality, and testing methodologies for UI components.
Strong understanding of front-end build tools, package managers, and version control systems (e.g., Webpack/Nx, npm, Git).
Hands-on experience in coding and implementing UI components using ReactJS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts and drive team collaboration.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
Proven track record of driving engineering excellence and innovation in previous roles.
Experience managing distributed teams, and establishing a high performing engineering culture.
Education :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.Base Pay Range $178,500—$210,000 USD
