Are you passionate about 3D graphics and low-level, close to the hardware programming? Have you ever dreamed of helping developers bring their video games to life? Do you want to work with a fast, agile, and experienced team? Are you ready to move at the speed of light?NVIDIA is looking to hire a deeply technical, creative and hands-on software engineer to pioneer the next generation of NVIDIA Graphics Developer Tools that will enable developers worldwide to harness the full power of NVIDIA GPUs. We are looking for someone who can help us build the best possible experience for graphics programmers seeking to debug, profile and optimize their renderers using next generation capture technologies. What you'll be doing:As a valued member of the team, you will be involved in the technical design and implementation of numerous features across the NVIDIA technology stack. You will write code in C/C++ operating directly on low-level driver data structures in order to enable fast and efficient frame capture, replay and debugging. In this role you can expect to:Implement graphics debugging features by reading/writing GPU registers and memory, and by processing and manipulating GPU commands at the API and driver level.

Participate in the broader ecosystem and the creation of new industry specifications.

Work closely with internal and external partners including other peer organizations within NVIDIA (Compiler team, Driver team, GPU Architecture team).

Design, estimate and prioritize tasks in order to build a realistic delivery schedule, in concert with the QA Department to develop a test plan.

Write fast, effective, maintainable, reliable, and well documented code.

Provide technical reviews that includes feedback on performance, scalability and correctness.

Document requirements and designs, and review with stakeholders.

Demonstrate growth in technical and non-technical abilities.

What we need to see:3+ years programing experience in C/C++

Proficiency in at least one modern 3D Graphics API, such as Direct3D or Vulkan, and high level shader languages like HLSL, GLSL or SLANG.

Knowledge of 3D Graphics Algorithms and GPU Architectures like the NVIDIA Ampere Architecture.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Ways to stand out from the crowd:Background using GPU tools such as NVIDIA Nsight Graphics for in-depth shader performance analysis.

Experience developing graphics drivers and/or writing low level system software code.

Deep understanding of intermediate shader code (DXBC/DXIL/SPIR-V or LLVM), shader compiler internals (DXC/glslangValidator/glslc), and the driver (shader microcode, shader management).

Experience writing, debugging and optimizing HLSL/GLSL shader code for gaming, device drivers, real-time systems or low level libraries.

Prior experience authoring developer tools, particularly for GPUs or games.
