Application-Specific Integrated Circuit Designer

Basic qualifications:BSEE is required, MSEE/Ph D. in Electrical Engineering with desired experiences in Wi-Fi ASIC design and verification are preferred.Responsibilities:You will have the opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi WLAN ASIC chip product development project in either Baseband ASIC, MAC ASIC, or SoC ASIC designs. In this role, you will be performing the following tasks: l Develop related Wi-Fi WLAN Access Point chip architecture and micro-architecture designs in Baseband, MAC or SoC level with architects, software teams or algorithm teamsl RTL design and implementations of related ASIC modules from spec to tape outl Develop and perform required ASIC design flows and methodologies for the WLAN ASIC product including simulations and synthesis l Work with verification team to develop SoC level test cases and drive test coveragesl Perform silicon lab bring up and testl Perform product power, performance and area optimizations Desired Skills: l Strong skills in Verilog and digital logic designs at RTL levell Strong skills with ASIC design flows and methodologiesl Good knowledge of SoC designs involving interconnect buses like AMBA AXI, AHB, and APB. Good knowledge of ARM CPUs like Cortex-R and Cortex-M, a definite plusl Direct experiences with ASIC IPs like PCIe, USB, Ethernet a definite plus. Direct hands-on experiences with FIFO, DMA and SRAM arbiter designs are highly desirablel Experiences in a major scripting language like Perl/Tcl/Python are highly desirablel Good Knowledge and working experiences with backend design teams in P&R layout designs, floor-planning, and timing closuresl A definite plus with experiences in Baseband DSP HW implementations, Or Wi-Fi MAC layer HW implementations.
