You will be responsible for leading the creative process, shaping our brand story, the visual narrative, and ensuring the maximum impact of our video and audio projects. Your expertise in strategy, producing, editing, storytelling, and attention to detail will be instrumental in delivering captivating and compelling video content across various platforms. Our pace will be fast, our precision will be high, and our team will initially be small. You are the type of person who welcomes new challenges, wants to be part of a video revolution, and thrives on being a leader without a lot of oversight.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with the company founders to build a brand and product marketing and brand identity
  • Lead the post-production process: oversee and manage all aspects of video editing and post-production, including cutting, sequencing, and adding music to create impactful and visually stunning videos that match our narrative.
  • Creative Storytelling: Collaborate with the CEO, content producer, and public relations team to develop compelling video narratives that include long, mid and short form deliverables.
  • Proficient in standard video editing toolsets. Have a strong grip with editing, conform, rough mixing, graphics, and deliveries.
  • Visual Aesthetics: Apply your keen eye for detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics to ensure consistency, cohesiveness, and alignment with brand guidelines in all video projects.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple video editing projects simultaneously, effectively managing timelines, priorities, and resources to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including videographers, motion graphics designers, and creative directors to ensure seamless integration of visual elements and maintain a cohesive creative vision.
  • Quality Control: Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure video content meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and technical specifications before final delivery.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay informed of the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in video editing, motion graphics, and post-production to continually enhance your skills and bring innovative ideas to the team.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of video production / post production experience
  • Proven track record as a creative lead, demonstrating expertise in video editing, storytelling, and project management
  • Proficient in industry-standard video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
  • Proficient in industry-standard collaboration tools (e.g.: Notion, Slack, G-Suite)
  • Strong command of visual storytelling techniques, pacing, and timing
  • Solid understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics
  • Excellent knowledge of video codecs, formats, and compression standards for various delivery platforms
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing previous brand work is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Willingness and understanding that working in a startup means you’ll certainly wear a lot of hats!
