As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, Corporate Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesExecutes email marketing solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsSetups, customizes and develops Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related app implementations, drawing on your relevant past experience and understanding of best practices surrounding the Salesforce platformProduces architecture and design artifacts for automated marketing communications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by configuration and software developmentRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient in coding in one or more languages and experience with AMPscriptExperience designing, administering and configuring Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email marketing solutionsStrong knowledge of the Salesforce Sales Cloud Platform and best practices for integration leveraging the Marketing Cloud Connect Managed PackageExperience building custom email templates, dynamic emails and customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with a strong understanding of tools such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, CloudPages etc.Setup, customize and develop Salesforce.com and related app implementations, including the custom development of APEX triggersExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity and ability to interpret system / business requirements and prepare specification and design documentFamiliarity with modern front-end technologiesExposure to cloud technologies
