The Marketing Program Manager is a product expert who owns and manages marketing projects for the Equipment category. The Equipment category is cross functional within all bicycle categories including apparel. They work collaboratively with product, creative, and PR teams to communicate the unique benefits of our equipment and apparel for our riders.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

In collaboration with Equipment Product and Global Marketing teammates, lead and own building and running the marketing game plan for equipment products from launch through end of life, including setting strategies, overseeing activation, and driving category success.Collaborate with Marketing leaders to drive storytelling and demand creation to create a unique, differentiated, and compelling product marketing point of view for equipment and apparel categories.Distill the "IT" of our products and technology to the most straightforward, impactful, and ownable messages that connect with our riders and differentiate the brand.Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders including product, merchandising, supply, PR, creative and sales to facilitate the complete progression from insight to product creation, consumer messaging, and go-to-market executions.Cultivate an intimate connection with cycling culture, while seeking out worldwide market input and feedback to ensure alignment with our market's commercial goals and local riding culture.Educate, inspire, and influence global teams to ensure consistent brand and product messages land on digital, in retail, and at events within an established budget and in collaboration with the global marketing team.Keep the rider at the center, staying in front of insights and trends that help impact the product creation and go-to-market plans for the category.Create messages, activations, and experiences for riders to connect to the brand beyond the performance of the product.Capture and communicate in words and images relevant moments within the category - from behind-the-scenes content with ambassadors or media activations.WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

4+ years of experience in brand or product marketing within bike or/and the outdoor industry.Experience in the bicycle equipment industry and ability to speak to core riders and casual riders alike.Love of riding together with strong technical product knowledge.Deep connection to the trends and people driving the future of cycling culture.Proven track record of planning and driving multiple projects at the same time, including budget development, management and problem-solving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to motivate, lead, negotiate and influence, especially with cross-functional teams and indirect reports.Ability to clearly communicate your ideas and goals verbally, in writing, and in imagery.Ability to think and execute at different scales depending on the scope of the project from small community-rooted marketing activations to large teams and high-profile athletes.A solid understanding of the marketing strategy's ramification in the digital world, specifically with e-commerce and social platforms.Curiosity, creativity, and the readiness to take risks.The location for this position is either at our Morgan Hill, CA or Boulder, CO office and will require international travel (25%). Hybrid schedule with three days a week required in office.

Pay

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California

Base Pay Range: $100,000 -$148, 000 annually

Colorado

Base Pay Range: $93,000 -$135,000 annually

At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
