Senior Project Manager

Job SummaryOur Senior Project Managers are directly responsible for developing and driving the team’s project plans, while meeting and exceeding the goals for a portfolio of medical education projects. They work directly with project coordinators and project/account managers taking an active role from project inception to completion. They provide accurate and proactive support for all project-related activities and deliverables including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, staff, suppliers, clients, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and other relevant groups associated with the overall project delivery.Senior Project Manager have a natural ability to lead and oversee a team. They drive the development, execution, and delivery of all projects for accounts they support in a collaborative fashion. They have a strong attention to detail, are super organized and love tracking details.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOverseeing 10-12 concurrent projects on average, depending on the scopeSupporting multiple accounts, varying in size and scope but ensuring workload is sustainableAssuming responsibility for overall scope of each project, developing project plans, timelines and budgets in conjunction with project teamDriving and delivering high-quality projects according to client needs and expectations while following all SOPsAnticipating and proactively addressing client needs along with account director to ensure complete client satisfactionWorking collaboratively with account, project, scientific and editorial teams and vendors to coordinate resources to ensure appropriate support and communication, including but not limited to:the creation of long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlinesdelegating project tasks to team members best positioned to complete them while ensuring timely and successful completionserving as a point of contact for teams when shared services are in play to ensure team actions remain in synergyoverseeing the develop and maintenance of status reports for internal and client useensuring version and quality control of all projects from initiation to execution, maintaining the standards expectedadjusting schedules and targets on projects as scope of work or financing for the project changefostering integration, collaboration, and teamwork among team membersdeploying Open Health resources to best balance overall business objectives of the organizationproactively and consistently making connections across projects/deliverables and making recommendations for project efficiencies and improvementIndependently reconciling projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision and ensures all project financials are completed in scope and on timeSupporting account/project team with the development of proposals/budgets to implement creative educational programsWorking with project/account director with recruitment efforts including training and developing team membersManaging and mentoring direct reports, as neededAssisting with meeting agenda development and review/summary of meeting highlightsExperience, Skills, and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field3-5 years of professional education project types, including comprehensive knowledge of professional education project typesAbility to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities with the ability to delegate and set clear expectationsStrong knowledge of MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and TeamsExperience working in project management programs such as Smart Sheet, Veeva, Workfront a plus!Ability to work both independently and in a team structureAptitude for the English language and excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdept problem solving and decision-making skillsExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationshipsExceptional time management skillsDetail-oriented, articulate, creative, optimistic and works easily with a variety of personalities and stylesAbility to make effective decisions when presented with multiple optionsUnderstanding of FDA, AMA, PhRMA guidelines and state regulations as they apply to medical communication projectsTravel RequirementsVery minimal travel required for this role.About OPEN HealthOPEN Health unites deep scientific knowledge with wide-ranging specialist expertise to unlock possibilities that improve health outcomes and patient wellbeing.
