This role will be responsible for leading media relations, social media and corporate reputation management efforts for CoinFlip. Under the guidance of the SVP, Corporate Communications, the Senior Manager will develop and execute a thoughtful media relations strategy that increases consumer awareness of CoinFlip and its products, helping drive business goals on customer and partner acquisition.
Responsibilities:
Effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking competing initiatives across internal & external stakeholdersTrack and manage media relationships, media mentions and assess and understand sentiment in the media (public) marketplace around CoinFlip and the broader cryptocurrency industryPartner closely with P&L leadership, Marketing, Customer Service, Legal and Compliance to execute a communications strategy that not only aligns with business goals but anticipates potential issues and identifies ways to mitigateAlign communications and marketing efforts to avoid duplication and ensure consistency in messaging and brand presentationOther duties as assignedQualifications:
BA in Marketing, Advertising or related field8-10 years of working in corporate communications in-house or at an agency, a mix of experience is preferredAdaptable, unflinching and able to pivot when necessaryPrecise, eager to find the right facts, a truth-teller and an honest broker when dealing with journalist and principals alike; trustworthiness is keyStrong writing skills and keen attention to detail, including proofreading, editing and grammar skills; ability to synthesize complicated issues and translate into layman's termsKnowledge and experience handling regulatory/compliance and policy issues in an emergent industryNice to have:
Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchainsGeneral passion and knowledge of fintech and cryptocurrency
