is looking for an experienced
Promotions Director
to coordinate and implement on and off-air promotions and events in order to promote the stations’ image and presence in the marketplace to our primary demographic while maintaining a winning onsite image. This position requires a high degree of organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, a personal disposition that works well with creative co-workers in both programming and sales and most importantly, has a passion for radio.

currently features 5 stations in the Huntsville area and surrounding counties. Our stations include: 104.3 WZYP-FM Top 40/CHR, 770 AM & 92.5 FM WVNN News Talk Radio, 94.1 WHRP-FM our Urban Adult Contemporary Station, 93.3 WWFF-FM NASH ICON plays Country music, 730 AM & 103.9 FM WUMP Sports Talk Radio. The cluster of 5 stations reaches thousands of listeners on a daily basis.Create and execute promotional events and contests within departmental budgetNegotiate and purchase collateral and other promotional itemsDevelop strategic relationships with entertainment and event venues to benefit the stationsWork with local charities to the mutual benefit of the community, the charity and the stationsProvide regular coaching and performance feedback to staffCoordinate and draft all sales and station promotions from conception to facilitationContests, giveaways, station websites and on-site events and appearances including paid client events and charity endeavorsJob Requirements:
Qualifications:
Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulationsUnderstanding of stations’ programming strategiesComputer literacy in Photoshop, HTML, Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Media Span and Promo SuiteExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProblem-solving ability and skill in prioritizingAbility to interact with management and staff at all levelsAbility to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlinesMust possess valid state driver’s licenseMust have a flexible schedule and be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays based on station eventsWhat we offer:
