Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an entry-level Marketing Assistant for the Chamber! This role provides a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in marketing, involving tasks such as gathering campaign data through member feedback, creating engaging visuals, event assistance, design oversight, and conducting market research to enhance our marketing strategies.
Environment: Remote for general support; in-person, evenings for Chamber events (3-4 events per month)
Responsibilities:
Website and Member Communications:
Assist with website updates, social media, blogs, and member ‘InfoHub' communications
Update media distribution lists and manage correspondence with press contacts
Create event listings with partners on third-party event sites
Newsletter and Distributions:
Assist in building and maintaining content for newsletters
Manage email marketing automation
Utilize member feedback to evaluate and enhance campaign success
Assist in analyzing data to contribute insights for ongoing marketing strategies
Design support:
Oversee the design and graphics of marketing materials, ensuring alignment with our brand identity
Collaborate with design teams to create visually compelling promotional assets
Support in preparing and presenting findings to business decision-makers
Event Coordination:
Assist in the setup, facilitation, and successful completion of events
Collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless and engaging event experience
Provide on-site support during daytime and evening programs (3-4 events/month)
Market Research:
Conduct market research to gain insights into the evolving marketing needs of our organization and target audience
Contribute to actionable recommendations based on market trends and analysis
Qualifications
Strong enthusiasm for marketing with a desire to learn and grow in the field
Proficiency in basic graphic design tools for creating visuals
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
