Job DescriptionOur client is currently seeking a

Proposal Writer

to develop content for Federal Government proposals, sources sought and responses, marketing materials, case studies, and other materials. This type of content will include narrative writing, graphics, flow charts, organizational charts, and diagrams. The successful candidate must be able to ensure all components are consistent, complete, and assembled within required timeframes. The source material for content will include interviews and some writing from Project Managers (PM) and Subject Matter Experts (SME), reports and deliverables generated by projects, Performance Work Statements (PWS), and corporate staff and data.

This is a remote role with headquarters in Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

Work with corporate leadership or other content owners to understand messaging and win-themesBecome thoroughly familiar with the work our organization performs through scope research, interviews, and review of project documents and deliverablesCreate visually appealing proposal responses and content that direct the reader to informative and persuasive key points throughout the documentDevelop skeleton proposal outlines and fully developed responsesInterview in-house Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Project Managers (PM)Capture data from PMs and other sources to generate relevant and valid facts, statistics, and proof-points for proposalsFind key points, quotes, or facts and generate call-out boxes to highlight accomplishmentsReview and analyze solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) documentation as part of the opportunity analysis and proposal development processContribute to our mission of providing customized, accurate, real-time capture intelligenceSupport various proposal development activities, such as resume formatting, compliance reviews, and coordination with teaming partnersMaintain and continually enhance the pipeline/proposal management platform, collaborating with stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improvement and perform the necessary modifications to make new capabilities available to end-usersSupport various inter-departmental projects and initiatives as an extension of proposal writing and submitting

Clearance

Must be a US citizen eligible to obtain a security clearance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university3+ years of proposal writing experienceExperience with Sam.gov, GOVWIN, and eBUYExperience pulling NAICS codesKnowledge of research techniques used in collecting, tabulating, evaluating, and presenting dataKnowledge of procedures and techniques used in interviewing SMEsKnowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphic computer software applicationsProficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and SharePointExperience creating and improving processesStrong business acumenExperience defining problems, conducting research, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and formulating recommendationsAbility to operate a personal computer, take initiative, and work independentlyAbility to logically organize a document based on proposal response guidelines and readability, without the use of “fluff” wordsAbility to communicate ideas and processes using graphics and figuresAbility to conduct phone calls and in-person meetings/presentations with high-ranking government personnel and c-suite executivesAbility to review and analyze solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) documentationAbility to develop and execute a work plan for business development and capture operations and projects, including establishing and/or recommending goals and objectives
