Description

Attack Theatre is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager who will lead the marketing and communications strategy and implementation of all programs using data-driven and research-informed methods and practices to optimize revenue and stakeholder engagement.

Position Overview:

Attack Theatre offers education and performance work across the region and internationally. With a recent move to the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Attack Theatre is poised to grow. The Marketing and Communications Manager will leverage Attack Theatre's brand and robust history to create strategies that optimize messaging, amplify the culture and impact of varied programs on and off-stage, leverage data to grow brand awareness, collaborate with curiosity to support stakeholder engagement strategies, and articulate the value of dance, movement and kinesthetic learning to the Attack Theatre's diverse constituent groups.

What You'll Be Doing:

Attack Theatre has robust technology infrastructure that allows the Marketing and Communications Manager ample data and tools to mobilize robust communication campaigns set against institutional and program-specific goals.

Specifically, the role will:

Communications, Brand, Identity, and Presence

Create data and research-driven email-marketing strategies and messaging, marketing campaigns, website content, email newsletters, print and e-communications.Deliver a clear and consistent brand experience and high-quality creative concepts for all production and educational programs in collaboration with the Artistic Directors and Arts Education team.Develop digital and print communication materials and marketing plans for performance, arts education, donor, ticketing and touring needs.Establish brand goals and align marketing efforts with revenue goals to achieve ticketing, programming, and individual giving revenue goals.Manage all external contractors for photography, videography, graphic design, etc.Ensure all programs meet brand guidelines and embeds equity and accessibility into communications practices.Public Relations and Media

Write and distribute press releases, online listings and public information for programming.Coordinate with media, photographers, and press.Coordinate with Managing Director to raise awareness and revenue for office and studio rentals.Website and Social Media

Manage www.attacktheatre.com, ensuring that all web communication is current, accurate and meets Attack Theatre standards of quality and content.Create an effective and relevant social media strategy that produces innovative and effective impact within social media platforms.Collaborate with the Social Media contractor, ensuring timely and thoughtful engagement with participants/users.Individual Donor, Patron and Participant Communications

Support the creation of content, print and digital materials for annual fund and donor communications.Audience Data Management and Collection

Design, manage and track audience data collection methods including audience surveys, marketing campaign analysis, web and social media analytics, and e-communication metrics.Use data to inform marketing, brand, and advertising decisions.Special Events

Assist with planning and implementation of minor and major special events.Collaborate with the Managing Director to ensure volunteers are prepared, informed and scheduled as needed.Assist with securing and coordinating hospitality needs, sponsorships and in-kind donations.Enterprise and Sponsorship Development

Work with the Leadership Team and Enterprise Data Manager to pursue revenue and business development opportunities with new and existing partners.Cultivate and secure sponsorship opportunities to support programs and special events.Secure program ads for inclusion in all-season and/or individual program materials.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements

The ideal candidate is a creative life-long learner who is agile in emerging technologies and software, highly organized, systems-oriented, and an excellent writer and communicator. We are seeking a candidate that is detail oriented, energized by work-flow systems and tools,

and thrives in a fast-paced collaborative work environment that values a human-centered design approach to ideation and implementation.

The candidate must also have the following:

3-6 years of experience as an employee in marketing, media relations, communications (arts nonprofit experience preferred).Excellent writing skills with strong copy-editing skills. Able to concisely distill abstract or complex ideas and programs into clear messaging that is accessible and relevant to a wide range of audiences through thoughtful segmentation and targeting.Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledgeable of marketing best practices within the performing arts industry.Experienced with a variety of software platforms and the desire to utilize technology as an effective tool for communication and engagement.Flexible, curious, and committed to learning.Experience with:

Salary of $44,000 - $51,000 annually DOEUnlimited PTOHealth, dental, and vision insurance (dental and vision 100% company-paid)401K retirement plan with company match.Primarily in-person work location with weekly work-from-home options with work hour flexibility.
