We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Broadcast Network Engineer to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in maintaining and administering our company's computer networks, ensuring high-quality broadcast transmission of video, audio, and data on a global scale. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will support the maintenance of computer networks, assist with hardware and software systems, participate in disaster recovery operations, help fortify defenses against cyber threats, replace faulty network hardware components, manage multiple VLANs, assist with VPN technologies including IPsec tunnels, and provide support for client-facing and employee-facing systems, including broadcast, accounting, and corporate IT systems.

Essential Functions:

Network Maintenance: Assist in ensuring the optimal functioning of computer networks, hardware, software, and related systems to guarantee uninterrupted broadcast operations.Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery operations to minimize downtime and protect critical data, software, and hardware.Cybersecurity: Help implement security measures to safeguard our network infrastructure from potential cyber threats and attacks.Hardware Replacement: Assist in identifying and replacing faulty hardware components to maintain network integrity.VLAN and VPN Management: Help create/manage VLANs and VPN technologies, including IPsec tunnels, to establish secure communication channels.Integration Support: Assist the integration team with new builds and network build-outs, ensuring seamless and efficient network integration.System Support: Provide support for all systems, including broadcast, accounting, and corporate IT systems, both client-facing and employee-facing.User Collaboration: Collaborate with network users to identify potential issues, troubleshoot existing problems, and provide timely resolutions.Client and Employee Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients and employees, delivering support and addressing inquiries related to network systems.Live Broadcast Production Planning: Assist in the planning of live broadcast productions, ensuring the network infrastructure meets the demands of our productions.To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Basic knowledge of network administration and maintenance.Understanding of cybersecurity practices and disaster recovery operations.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Availability for night and weekend work based on production schedules.Nice to have:

Familiarity with Fortinet products, including switches and FortiGate firewall.Experience with VPN technologies, including IPsec tunnels.Basic knowledge of broadcast networking, including VOIP, Dante, NDI, HLS, RTSP, and SMPTE 2110.
