KMBC-TV/KCWE-TV, the ABC/CW affiliates in Kansas City, is looking for an organized, detail-oriented team player with exceptional written and verbal skills to join our amazing team!  We’re looking for someone with a positive “can do attitude” to take advantage of this career opportunity to get your foot in the door of a highly respected TV station, owned by Hearst Television, an industry-leading television station group. This role will report to the Sales Director.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide administrative support to the account executives, sales managers, and research director.
  • Order entry for both Local and National business.
  • Assist account executives with prepping orders, emailing invoices, and handling sponsorship trackers. 
  • Help prepare sales presentations, programming “one-sheets,” and other sales pieces.
  • Create monthly reports and handle special requests in various media monitoring systems.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate and interact with internal teams from all departments and external clients both on the phone, via email and in person.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and shared drive maintenance.
  • Back-up other sales support positions.

Requirements: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Windows, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Manage tight deadlines effectively.
  • Capable of learning new systems promptly and thoroughly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Highly focused and organized with extreme attention to detail.
  • This position is fully onsite at the television station.
  • In-person attendance is required.
  • Relevant work experience will be considered.
