DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Participates in all phases of the development life cycle, focusing on coding, testing, and debuggingWorks on the maintenance or enhancement of existing applicationsResearches, evaluates and analyzes technical and design requirementsParticipates in cross functional discussions and effectively communicates information, both written and verbally to members of the project teamMaintains up-to-date knowledge of related tools, trends and developmentsWorks with team members to establish consistent development and documentation guidelinesDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsDocuments all technology changes through appropriate change controlProvides support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutionsParticipate in design brainstorming sessions, technical design reviews, formal code reviews, site QA, and functional demosEnsures work is completed in such a way to comply with established J-SOX and other internal controls

SUMMARY OR REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum four years' experience developing scalable, high-volume, enterprise web sites/applicationsKnowledge with HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, CSS3 and responsive designAbility to identify and quickly fix browser and desktop/mobile compatibility issuesFamiliarity with integrated development environments and version control systems such as SVN and GitHubKnowledge in SOAP- or REST-based web services, XML, JSON a plusStrong understanding of site performance, web analytics, and SEO techniquesProficient and comfortable working on multi-tier applicationsExperience in Agile software development such as Scrum is helpfulExcellent technical troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExpertise in interaction design, usability, and information architecture requiredBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field with equivalent relevant experience.

** This is a CONTRACT position

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This contract position has a base pay range of $50 - $75 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits may include medical, dental and vision, 401(k), basic/supplemental life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance program, paid sick leave, and up to 6 paid holidays per year. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.
