The Director of Marketing Communications leads a cross-functional team of marketing professionals to develop and implement communications strategies to support the company’s growth objectives; build the VIPRE brand within key target markets including channel partners, small and medium businesses, and consumers; create and refine product messaging and target personas; establish thought leadership; solidify VIPRE’s reputation as a top-rated endpoint security solution; fulfill marketing program deliverable needs; and foster stronger company culture through regular, effective employee communication.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead a team of internal and external creative resources to develop marketing communications assets that improve the acquisition of new partners, businesses and consumers, as well as strengthening customer retentionCollaborate with Marketing Programs and eCommerce teams to create and execute marketing communications to meet lead-generation, partner recruitment, customer retention, online conversions and other strategic objectivesCreate and execute a content strategy focused on educating, informing and engaging key target audiences/personas that supports company thought leadership, demand generation and SEO objectivesCollaborate with Product Teams to develop and refine product messaging and target personas that effectively communicate the value proposition for VIPRE to partners, businesses, and consumersLead the public relations strategy to establish company thought leadership in the channel, business and consumer technology/security publications; develop press releases, pitches and rapid response opportunities to generate coverage for the company; engage product reviewers to help promote positive VIPRE reviews; manage an external PR firm and execute PR activates internally; regularly report and track the effectiveness of the PR programManage independent product reviews and award programsManage analyst relations program by building mindshare for VIPRE among key analysts and working closely with contracted analyst firms when applicableEnhance and manage the VIPRE brand by refining messaging and visual identity, and consistently managing and applying the brand through all deliverables and communications channels, including web, events, email marketing, video scripts, blogs, newsletters, white papers and social mediaManage and enforce brand standards within the company and with partners leverage VIPRE branded assetsCollaborate with executive leadership and HR to establish frequent and effective employee communicationsCollaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders throughout the company to continually improve communications and uncover new opportunities to strengthen marketing activities and establish thought leadership.Education and/or Certification Requirements:BA/BS in communications, journalism, marketing or business related field preferredRequired Skills:Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing communications in high tech, preferably in security sector and/or SMB marketDemonstrable track record of creating and executing highly effective content marketing programsProven ability to translate brand personality and product capabilities into content assets that engage customers and increase lead generation/conversion ratesTrack record of production across content types -

long-form writing, slide presentations, video, and audio recordingsExcellent storyteller, with outstanding written and verbal communication skillsMetrics-driven, with a relentless focus on creating content to increase lead generation, site visits, search rankings and ROIExperience with developing KPIs, dashboards and benchmark reports to measure content engagement successExperience in managing a variety of content producers to ensure their deliverables are clear in message, on-time, and on-budgetCreative thinker and leader, with the ability to work under tight deadlinesAbility to operate at both strategic and tactical levelsStrong management, leadership, and mentoring skills.Marketing automation skills and experienceBachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field.VIPRE Security is an AA/EOE/Vets/Disabled employer
