Responsible for production of original creative video and daily management of the on-field analytical video needs (practice and games) for Division I assigned program.Description of Duties• Assist the head football coach in all facets of digital media and video production needs for a Division I FCS football program. Responsible for telling the story of UTRGV Football through developing and creating video content for social media, visual displays and branding utilization. This is a non-coaching position with NCAA rules restricting all recruiting and on-field coaching activities.• Serves as the creative vision for end-to-end management of video content for social media and overall football recruiting assets. Provide comprehensive, advanced-level video and digital media production by developing concepts, researching, planning, scripting, directing, editing, and posting program-specific digital media projects; ranging from recruiting materials, promotional campaigns, web features, hype videos and new media/digital media efforts for the football program.• Operate high quality cameras to acquire footage, both in the studio and on-location, using a variety of audio and video equipment configured in a field ( ENG ) or studio setting. Responsible for editing program content using Non-Linear systems, motion graphics, and music into a finished piece that meets approval.• Works closely and collaboratively with other members of the external operations team, including athletics communications staff, to produce videos that will assist in increasing engagement with prospects, alumni, campus community, and fans.• Coordinate and supervise the on-field video production, editing, and distribution of practice and game film including, but not limited to:a. Maintenance of video and computer editing equipment;b. Organization of practice filming and games;c. Sideline Communications; and any game day technology.d. Online video exchange with conference and non-conference opponents.• Performs other duties as assigned.Supervision ReceivedGeneral supervision from assigned supervisor.Supervision GivenDirect supervision of assigned support staff.Required EducationBachelor’s degree from an accredited University.Preferred EducationBachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Communications, Marketing or closely related field.Licenses/CertificationsNone.Required Experience• One (1) year experience in video production, or closely related experience in the specific field.• Or required experience may be accepted in lieu of education on a 1 to 1 basis.Preferred ExperienceKnowledge of and experience using video and ribbon board technology.EquipmentUse of standard office equipment. Operates video production equipment/specialized software for analytical purposes.Working ConditionsNeeds to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office/outdoor environment; constant travel and weekend work is required.OtherKnowledge of video production from determining story line to screen the final product. Ability to manage multiple projects. Knowledge of broadcast and print promotion, advertising and public relations techniques and standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
