Job Summary:
Assists Engineer(s) in application of principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology with special emphasis on computer aided drafting and preparation of roadway construction plans.
Essential Duties:
Reviews project requirements and goals, and confers with Engineer on plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design development and preparation of technical support calculations and reports. The successful candidate will be able to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations as directed by the Engineer. May be asked to work in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Qualifications:
Experience in MicroStation, Geopak and FDOT style roadway plan preparation preferred. Formal training and/or roadway design/drafting in AutoCAD is also considered a plus. Work requires close vision, the ability to distinguish and identify colors and ability to use a computer keyboard. Work involves sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
