Graphic Design Teacher

Qualifications:
Valid MI Teacher Certificate with the CTE endorsement in appropriate subject required: CTE - Graphic and Printing Technology and Communications (CIP 10.0301). Willing to consider candidates with 4,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience within the past five (5) years, an Annual Career Authorization will be required annually until appropriate CTE endorsement is obtained. Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred and experience working with high-school aged student preferred.
Course description:
These courses provide students the fundamentals of graphic design. Students learn to use programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Students also learn computer animation, bindery work as well as how to use a printing press to print vinyl graphics. Second year students complete more advanced projects and work on preparing an online portfolio for college. Eligible second year students have the opportunity to earn college credit for the course.
This position must meet the criteria of CIP code 10.0301 for Graphic and Printing Technology and Communications, therefore, applicants must be certified or show proof of relevant work meeting 4,000 hours.
