Interior Designer - Motorized

This salaried position exists to develop, implement and communicate interior design components for Jayco and Entegra motorized products.

Essential functions

Working with the Interior Design Manager, develop, implement and communicate interior design components.

Collaborates externally with vendors to verify information, order prototype goods and monitor delivery requirements; and, internally with Purchasing group to assure design, quality and cost parameters are in alignment.

Receive product samples, organize and maintain the design room.

Create fabric boards and other presentation materials for internal and external customers.

Serve as a liaison to Sewing Engineering personnel to develop direction and status.

Documents interior and component changes throughout model changes.

Request item master numbers for interior components and maintain all documentation for interior components.

Creates specification information for interior components, location of product and lines affected.

Experience/ Knowledge

Knowledge of design techniques and experience with tools and materials.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in RV construction.

Knowledge of Jayco products, purchasing and design processes

High school diploma or equivalent along with 3-5 years related work experience desired.

Work Requirements

This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 95% of the day.

Requires ability to occasionally travel between field locations.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Must comply with all safety procedures and protocols.

This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).
