Essential Job Functions:

1. Develops effective multi-disciplinary communications plans and products that leverage appropriate media channels and strategies to reach target audiences, conveys key messages and produces effective results for the college and the university.2. Finds compelling story ideas that meet recruitment, fundraising, news and visibility needs for the college.3. Engages with college faculty, students, administrators, alumni, staff and partners to write and package content that will persuade a variety of target audiences, producing desired results.4. Writes, helps coordinate and produces content for a broad mix of key communications channels, including traditional and digital marketing communications, Web, social media, video, print, news and periodicals.5. Edits Web and develops some content for the college in partnership with the division's Web strategy and content management team.6. Manages, produces and contributes to best-practice, high-performance social media content for the college through university-wide and, if applicable, college-specific accounts and channels.7. Contributes to recruitment marketing campaigns for the college in partnership with divisional colleagues and the offices of undergraduate and/or graduate admissions.8. Contributes to fundraising and alumni relations campaigns for the college in partnership with divisional colleagues and the University Advancement team.9. Writes for or assists with college-based publications and periodicals, digital or print-based.10. Ensures communications activities conducted for the college include performance measures to demonstrate return on investments and project effectiveness.11.Ensures that all communications projects and deliverables are aligned with the university's and college's brand and identity guidelines, and adheres to all divisional communications procedures, policies, standards and guidelines.12. Collaborates with the divisional teams on advertising, branding or publicity or marketing communications projects or initiatives that include or align with college priorities or content opportunities. Contributes ideas and content to populate NSU brand advertising, as well as institutional promotional efforts such as the NSU Research and NSU Health campaigns.13. Initiates or assists with public relations or marketing communications activities in the college, including photo/video shoots, focus groups, etc.14. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

This includes alternative ways to inform and persuade via digital, Web, and social media.
