Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible to develop, articulate, and drive the customer strategy with the goal of improving revenue and profitability. They will work closely with other functions (R&D, sales, pricing, customer service, product management, segment marketing, quality, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, demand planning) to ensure alignment across the organization on key priorities. Working with these other functions, the Marketing Manager will identify opportunities then execute on plans to achieve growth targets. This role will also leverage Amcor's successes from other end use applications in relevant market segments as well as new innovation and sustainability platforms.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Market Position and Supply ContinuityUnderstand and be able to articulate the main drivers of changes in customer's volume.Work with sales to ensure volume / spec changes are communicated to demand planning and supply chain teams in a timely manner.Partner with segment marketing managers and consumer insights to recognize market trends relevant to customer's products.Identify opportunities to create additional value to the customer to drive top and bottom line growth.As needed, work cross functionally to mitigate supply continuity risks.Pricing and Margin Enhancement

Support pricing strategy development and work with market segments to ensure alignment.Collaborate with product management, commercial pricing, and commercial excellence teams to execute value+ and MTD actions that increase profitability.Work with sales team to ensure costs savings projects are properly tracked in SFDC.Participate on plant profit teams as necessary.Lead cost savings pipeline review sessions with customerIdentify and scope new cost savings opportunities.Customer Relationships, Strategy, and Execution of Key Programs

Build relationships with customer to make Amcor's engagement wider and deeper.Participate in ESG events, innovation sessions, R&D project meetings, and monthly business reviews.Create unique, customer specific value-propositions tailored to customer's needs as well as Amcor's product offering and market segment strategies.Communicate compelling value-propositions to customer's procurement, R&D, manufacturing, and brand teams.Work closely with sales, R&D, and operations to help customer launch new packaging film technologies.Maintain contract terms and update to incorporate new amendments in SFDC / CLMWHAT WE VALUE

Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred.Strong technical skills specific to flexible packagingExperience with projects involving new packaging materials, formats, and filling equipment.Strong verbal and written communication skillsCapable to motivate cross-functional stakeholders internally and externally toward desirable outcomes.Able to monetize the value of novel packaging technologies by creating a unique value proposition that is compelling for various stake holders.Strong finance skills to help create business plans, contracts, and capital expense justifications.Grasp of marketing fundamentals including Strategy Development, Product Segmentation, & Product ManagementKnowledge of key principles of packaging sustainability including life cycle analysis, carbon footprint reduction, PCR, recycling infrastructure, etc.Our Expectations
