Our client, one of the largest financial services companies, is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer / Data Visualization Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, particularly with Tableau, and will eventually transition to using Google Looker. Experience with other visualization tools is also valuable. A background in CyberSecurity is preferred, and proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and querying is essential.
Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Tableau, with an eventual transition to Google Looker.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective visualizations and reports.Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the data and reports provided to stakeholders.Work on asset inventory and asset management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of assets.Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business decisions.Maintain and support existing BI solutions and ensure their optimal performance.Stay updated with the latest BI and data visualization trends and technologies.Work closely with the CyberSecurity team to integrate security data and provide actionable insights.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Visualization Engineer, or in a similar role.Proficiency in Tableau; experience with Google Looker is a plus.Experience with other data visualization tools is advantageous.Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and querying.Exposure to CyberSecurity concepts and data is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services industry.Knowledge of asset inventory and asset management best practices.Certification in Tableau, Looker, or other relevant BI tools.Familiarity with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
