Gensler Seattle is seeking a creative, collaborative, experienced professional to join our office as Marketing Manager.

Your Role

Marketing at Gensler is a communications-based discipline that requires a passion for storytelling and the strategic acumen to guide business development efforts. In partnership with the Seattle office leadership and the regional marketing director, the Seattle Marketing Manager drives the growth of the office's studios, practice areas, and client relationships, as well as brand awareness in the local Seattle market.

The Seattle Marketing Manager is also responsible for developing a local marketing team that elevates our ability to effectively communicate with potential clients and win new work.

What You Will Do

Marketing & Business Development Leadership

Partners with office leaders and regional marketing director to develop Seattle-specific marketing and business development strategies that support the Northwest Regional Strategic Plan and the Regional Practice Area Game Plans.Conducts local market research and prepares recommendations on growth areas and market trends.Conducts internal and external research on new opportunities and prospective clients within the practice areas.Partners with Seattle business developers on lead generation strategy and provides support and accountability for the relationship development process.Tracks, analyzes, and reports key business development and marketing metrics (pipeline, backlog, win rate, marketing spending) at monthly Seattle Business Meeting.Analyzes Seattle pipeline and reviews weekly BD reporting for the office.Leads the bi-weekly Business Development meetings for the office.Leads learning activities for technical staff on business development skills, marketing process, presentation skills, and other related topics.Works with design managers to actively report and review marketing budgets.Team Leadership

Defines, communicates, and oversees responsibilities for marketing staff within the Seattle office.Manages daily workload/staffing for the Seattle marketing staff.Performs regular professional development reviews and addresses any gaps in performance for the Seattle marketing team.Partners with the regional marketing director to lead recruiting, hiring, and compensation conversations for the Seattle marketing team.Provides oversight of continual improvements of Seattle marketing processes.Pursuit Management & Content Development

Partners with business development champions on pursuit/pitch strategies.Reviews all pursuit deliverables to ensure the quality of brand elements, graphics, and narrative.Partners with office leaders and regional marketing director to define and prioritize Seattle marketing content needs.Provides oversight of messaging and brand consistency for marketing collateral, proposals, presentations, and other materials related to winning new work.Serves as creative/content producer for specific initiatives requiring the highest quality, insight, and strategic focus, as needed.Office Positioning & Reputation Management

Collaborates with the PR manager to create a plan for sponsorship and participation in local client, industry, and professional organizations.Collaborates with the PR manager on leadership positioning efforts, including opportunities for speaking engagements and network development.Your Qualifications

10+ years of professional experience in a marketing role, preferably for an architecture, design, engineering, construction, or industry-related firmBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or adjacent fieldStrong graphic design sensibility and written/verbal communication skillsExperience managing significant marketing projects independently, working closely with senior staff on marketing programs, and managing teamsExperience strategically partnering and supporting senior staff on business-critical projectsSelf-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills; a great collaboratorFluent in InDesign and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Photoshop, other Adobe Creative Suite software, and Salesforce is a plus.

The base salary will be estimated between $115,000 - $130,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
