Description
SENIOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT/Port Royal: Performs more senior Library support functions and circulation desk duties. Responsibilities include providing customer service to patrons, collecting overdue fine and fees, placing requests for materials that are not currently available, submitting applications for library cards, checking in materials and shelving, and attaching barcodes, detection devices, and appropriate labels.Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:• High School graduate or equivalent• Three (3) years of related library and customer services work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience• Current computer skills, especially Word and Excel• Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving recordSupplemental Information
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. EOE.
