You will push your design and architecture limits by owning all aspects of solutions end-to-endKey job responsibilitiesAs an engineer in a relatively new team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems in the low latency/high throughput domain of dynamic ad insertion for Live Sports and Video on demand.Our architecture processes and handles high TPS (in millions) with obsessively high reliability and low operational overhead. The systems you design and build will be in the core path of video delivery to Prime Video customers worldwide. We leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies including AWS CloudFront, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, SNS, SQS and internal AWS incubator technologies.About the teamThe team is chartered to design large scale systems to power the live and VoD streams with ads viewed by a massive audience daily, and you will help bring customers streaming video view experience to a new level.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | Culver City, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
