Position Summary

The Campus Office of Substance and AlcoholPrevention (COSAP) is accepting applications for a Marketing Assistant. Thisindividual will support COSAP to create and market the resources available to theUNM community and other constituents on and off campus.

COSAP develops, organizes, and promotes prevention/harmreduction activities and alternative substance-free activities as options for UNMstudents, faculty and staff to enjoy their time at UNM without alcohol andother drugs. COSAP programs are designed to promote realistic estimates of one'sown alcohol and other drug use; to increase success and health; to reduce risksassociated with alcohol and other drug use; and to help live a healthier life. COSAP is under the direction of the Center onAlcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA)

This position is currently a part time positionwith an opportunity to become full time should additional external fundingbecome available.

Conditions of EmploymentEmployees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

-Prior marketing experience using social media accounts (Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook)-Experience working in an academic environment-Experience with various applications such as publisher, powerpoint etc-Experience with community engagement activities-Ability to develop content for prevention strategies-Willingness to present prevention materials atcommunity engagement meetings.
