About the Role:
We are seeking a talented, experienced WordPress developer to help optimize our browsing and shopping experiences to drive consumer acquisition, retention, and revenue. Our current stack includes WordPress, BeaverBuilder, Shopify Plus, Shopify apps, Zendesk, NetSuite, Segment, Google marketing and analytics tools, RingCentral, CallRail, and other third-party software and plug-ins. The WordPress Developer will work proactively with the marketing team to recommend and execute solutions that enhance our site's functionality, performance, and extensibility, e-commerce capabilities, and tech stack. This role partners closely with our Visual Designer, Marketing Managers, Demand Generation, and company leadership to implement technical aspects of web-related projects, maintain optimal function of the Avive website, optimize for UX and conversion rate, and collaborate with management on priorities, feasibility, and timelines.
What you'll do:Own the development, maintenance, and optimization of our website and e-commerce storefront from a technical standpointPlugin Management: Assess, install, configure, and customize WordPress plugins to meet the specific needs of our website. Collaborate with the team to identify suitable plugins and integrate them effectivelyPlugin Development: Develop custom WordPress plugins tailored to our unique requirements. This includes writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, as well as conducting thorough testing to ensure reliability and compatibilityIntegration with Custom APIs: Develop and integrate custom APIs to connect WordPress with external systems, databases, or third-party services. Implement secure and efficient communication protocols to exchange data and facilitate seamless interactions between different platformsCode Review and Documentation: Conduct peer code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and compatibility with WordPress standards. Document code changes, plugin configurations, API integrations, and template modifications for future reference.Performance Optimization: Monitor website performance metrics and implement optimizations to enhance speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through code improvements and server optimizationsSecurity Implementation: Implement robust security measures to protect the website from vulnerabilities, malware, and unauthorized access.
