Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Designer (WordPress Front-End Developer) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in WordPress, CSS, and a deep understanding of themes, plugins, and integrating multiple systems. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.Customize and create WordPress themes and templates to meet the specific needs of various church departments.Integrate and configure plugins to enhance website functionality and user experience.Collaborate with the creative/web director to ensure seamless integration of back-end and front-end functionalities.Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for all websites.Conduct regular website maintenance and updates to ensure security and functionality.Work with various church departments to gather requirements, provide design recommendations, and deliver high-quality web solutions.Utilize project management tools (WRIKE) and file management systems (Dropbox) effectively.Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and best practices.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Web Designer or WordPress Front-End Developer.Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin development and customization.Strong knowledge of HTML and CSSExperience with responsive and adaptive design principles.Understanding of SEO principles and web analytics.Familiarity with integrating multiple systems and APIs.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with additional content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms.Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).Basic understanding of UX/UI principles.Align with Living Word's Statement of FaithAbide by Living Word's Code of Christian Conduct
