The KBR Government Solutions U.S. marketing and communications team is seeking a Graphic Designer and visual storyteller to create marketing deliverables for KBR. In this role, the designer will be responsible for delivering visually creative and engaging assets that promote the KBR brand in line with KBR's strategic plan and business goals. We are seeking a highly skilled graphic designer who is passionate about our industry, which includes defense, engineering, space and technology. The ideal candidate can synthesize complicated engineering and science information into compelling visuals, is creative and thrives on creating industry-leading content. This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail, strong typography skills, and a collaborative mindset. This role will create varied graphic elements and designs, including advertisements, trade show booths, logos, brochures, billboards, swag, social media, corporate signs, Power Point briefings and multiple digital elements from websites to some video. The successful candidate will be receptive to feedback, have a growth mindset and will work closely with our marketing and communications team to ensure the highest quality of our visual assets.

This position will report to the Creative Manager.

Key Qualifications:

A portfolio of work that showcases excellence in print design and typography

Outstanding ability to communicate ideas to designers, engineers, product managers and leadership through storytelling, visuals and presentations

Able to work independently and in a team environment

7+ years of design experience with a focus on print deliverables

Able to convert business concepts or engineering capabilities into a clear visual with infographics and design elements

Experience creating logos

Design and develop graphics and illustrations across multiple platforms, including tradeshow designs, conference materials, print and digital signage, presentations, videos and other collateral

Ability to work business development teams and executive leadership in professional manner and listen incorporate business strategy and customer needs into designs

Video editing experience preferred

Strong project and time management skill to juggle multiple simultaneous deliverable schedules

Experience in handling several complex projects simultaneously

Roles and Responsibilities:

Under broad and sometimes direct guidance:

Create strategic and original visual content that adheres to brand standards and reinforces KBR's position as a market leader

Design and develop graphics and illustrations across multiple platforms, including tradeshow designs, conference materials, print and digital signage, presentations, videos and other collateral

Strong print and tradeshow booth design skills and experience

Provide graphic design support for briefings, presentations and videos

Coordinate the design and production of communication products and deliverables.

Translate conceptual ideas into effective design, formulate concepts.

Requirements/Qualifications

Experience: Undergraduate degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, or equivalent preferred.

Must have expert knowledge of Adobe, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint/Office and other graphic arts-related equipment/software.

Strong ability to translate highly technical content into thoughtful, compelling and effective graphic design products

Team player: Works well independently and in an intensely collaborative team environment

Attention to detail: Possesses a meticulous attention to detail, with a strong eye for visual composition

Flexibility: Able to adjust to frequent changes in priorities, effectively managing time and working across multiple tasks with competing deadlines

Communication: Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions and checks for understanding

Creativity: Must be intellectually curious with strong creative and imaginative prowess to generate ideas for concept development

Portfolio: Online portfolio required

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in space and or technology sector

Other audiovisual and writing skills are also desirable

Photography and post-production editing (Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom), animation (Adobe After Effects), motion/video-editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, any NLE) skills are a bonus but not required as well as photo/video production processes.
