Job Purpose:The Marketing & Group Sales Associate, Audience Experience serves as a vital conduit for introducing new audiences to the PSO, ensuring they enjoy captivating experiences at Heinz Hall. This role requires a passionate, well-organized self-starter capable of orchestrating unforgettable and distinctive audience experiences. The associate plays a crucial role in maintaining and increasing groups sales revenue and ticket goals.

Additionally, the associate assists the Director of Audience Experience Marketing in handling requests and reporting on concert enhancements and experiences. Collaboration across all departments including close coordination with the Pittsburgh Symphony Musicians is integral to fulfilling these responsibilities effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and execution of enhancement and engagement activities, as well as other patron-facing opportunities.Attend concerts and events to interact with and welcome guests, providing support for activities related to these events.Meet and aspire to exceed group sales revenue and ticket goals, as well as achieve a high net promoter score, by maintaining relationships with existing group clients and cultivating new audience relationships. Design and coordinate “experience packages” for group clients including but not limited to clinics, masterclasses, performance opportunities, Q&As with musicians and tours of Heinz Hall.Manage administrative tasks, including handling design, email, and social media requests. This includes survey deployment, generating survey reports, and managing social, design, mail, and digital assets for marketing materials related to audience experience and group sales.Provide support to the Audience Experience team by coordinating and organizing all event-related documents in support of audience experience initiatives.Required Education, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in non-profit organizations or in a related field.Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.Proactive and self-motivated; willing to learn new skills.Capable of following instructions and skilled in both independent and collaborative work.Resourceful, with the ability to evaluate an issue, investigate possible solutions, escalate when appropriate and then execute solutions.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong technology skills, and a high-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, some work with a CRM system, Knowledge of Tessitura preferred.Previous success in meeting sales and revenue targets is preferred.Experience in content creation and event coordination, coupled with familiarity with the local community and classical music is preferred.Comfortable working with diverse community groups is essential for this role.Must be able to provide own transportation.Physical Requirements :

Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.Ability to operate related equipment, i.e., computer, copier, scanner.Compensation and Location:This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range between $40,000 - $45,000 depending upon experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefit package which includes paid holidays, paid time off, health benefits, as well as retirement savings options.

Heinz Hall in downtown Pittsburgh is the work location for this position . Success in this position requires local presence and relationship building. The PSO supports a flexible, hybrid work environment, which currently includes three days per week in-person work, including occasional work on weekends and evenings during PSO and Heinz Hall concerts or events.
